A CHEATING man NEVER leaves his wife because…

Maintaining a marriage can be challenging, and statistics show why many relationships face strain. In the United States, roughly 40 to 50 percent of marriages end in divorce. Meanwhile, studies suggest that infidelity is common: 57 percent of men report having cheated in any relationship, and 74 percent say they would consider an affair if they were confident they wouldn’t be caught.

An article in Today highlights a pattern noticed by women involved with married men: many of these men “never” leave their wives, even when engaged in long-term extramarital relationships. Experts and commentators have explored why this occurs.

One reason is comfort and authenticity. As David Wygant of YourTango explains, men may feel they can fully be themselves with their girlfriends while still returning to the stability of their family life. “Why would he leave his wife and kids?” Wygant asks, noting that after spending time with a mistress, some men go home to enjoy family life and let their spouse manage household responsibilities—a dynamic some describe as “ideal” for them.

While this does not reflect every situation, it underscores a complex aspect of modern relationships: for some, infidelity coexists with family life rather than replacing it.
