Heroic 5-year-old carries sister out of burning home, then rushes back to help save 7 other family members

A five-year-old boy is being hailed as a hero after waking up to flames beside his bed and saving his family of nine. When an electrical fire broke out in the room he shared with his two-year-old sister, Noah Woods grabbed her, took the family dog, and escaped through a window—the only way out. Once safe, he ran back inside to alert his uncle, helping the rest of the family escape.

The Bartow County Fire Department praised him, calling him “our hero.” Thanks to Noah’s quick thinking, all nine family members survived. Noah and several others were treated for minor burns and smoke inhalation, but his grandfather said it best: “If it wasn’t for Noah, we could’ve all lost our lives.”
