Trump to burn $10M taxpayer-funded birth control meant for foreign aid

The Trump administration is set to burn nearly $10 million worth of taxpayer-funded contraceptives, labeling them “abortifacient” despite medical consensus that birth control prevents pregnancy, not ends it. The supplies—many viable until 2031—were meant for global health programs, but instead will be destroyed at extra taxpayer cost, even after aid groups offered to distribute them for free. Critics call it wasteful, harmful to women, and “literally burning taxpayer money.”
