Bongino Says FBI Cracked Chinese Spy Ring Targeting U.S. Troops

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino announced Thursday that the bureau dismantled a major Chinese spy ring in the U.S., executing raids in several cities and arresting two suspects tied to efforts to recruit American service members and steal defense secrets. Since January, the FBI has arrested 51 foreign agents from China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea, while pursuing nearly 5,000 active counterintelligence cases. Bongino emphasized transparency, noting thousands of declassified pages have been shared with Congress, though questions remain about his future at the FBI amid tensions over the Epstein case.
