A normal Monday evening turned tragic when 20-year-old Mariana Gómez was killed by a stray bullet during a shooting on Fifth Street. The busy shopping district erupted into chaos around 5:30 p.m. as gunmen opened fire, targeting a local shopkeeper. Mariana, who was simply on her way to submit a job résumé, was caught in the crossfire and lost her life, leaving the city in shock.
