‘Wheel of Fortune’ Player Wins $1M After Solving This Tough Puzzle

Tuesday night, Christina Derevjanik of Connecticut made television history on Wheel of Fortune, becoming only the fifth contestant ever to win the show’s coveted $1 million prize — and she made it look easy.

Securing the Million-Dollar Wedge

During regular gameplay, Derevjanik landed the elusive $1 million wedge, putting herself in position for a life-changing payout. Ahead of the bonus round, she laughed that she might hand in her two weeks’ notice at her marketing job if she managed to seal the deal.

The Bonus Round Moment

The bonus puzzle category was “Living Things.” After the standard letters R, S, T, L, N, and E were revealed, Derevjanik selected M, C, F, and A. The added letters uncovered just enough of the board to make the solution apparent.

As host Ryan Seacrest began the countdown, she didn’t pause. With total confidence, she called out the correct answer: “Pack of coyotes” — securing the million-dollar prize.
