A FIGHT OVER WHAT’S REALLY BEING HIDDEN

Alan Dershowitz says the Epstein records controversy is being misunderstood. He argues there is no hidden “client list,” only FBI affidavits where victims named alleged abusers — with identities redacted by court order. According to him, two Manhattan judges, not federal officials, control what remains sealed, primarily to protect accusers.
His comments come as frustration grows over ongoing secrecy. Federal judges in Florida and New York have declined to release additional files, including grand jury material from the mid-2000s Epstein case. While Dershowitz maintains most key names are already public, the continued court restrictions are fueling distrust and debate over transparency, victim protection, and whether the justice system treats powerful figures differently.
