Renowned hitmaker and teen favorite passes at the age of 82

Another music legend has passed. Lou Christie, the 82-year-old pop icon known for his soaring falsetto and the hit “Lightnin’ Strikes,” died on June 17. Born Lugee Alfredo Giovanni Sacco in Pennsylvania, Christie found his voice in a church choir and never looked back. That first-grade Christmas pageant applause sparked a lifelong passion for music, leading him from choir pews to the top of the pop charts.
