Virginia Roberts Giuffre became widely known in 2011 after publicly alleging that Jeffrey Epstein abused and trafficked her from the age of 16. She also accused Ghislaine Maxwell of recruiting her while she worked at a spa in Mar-a-Lago. Epstein was arrested in 2019 on sex trafficking charges and died by suicide in jail that same year before trial.
