Candace Owens Targets Erika Kirk in New Docuseries
Online debate has intensified around Erika Kirk following the assassination of her husband, Charlie Kirk, and her decision to take a leadership role at Turning Point USA, the conservative organization he founded.
Conservative commentator Candace Owens has released a docuseries titled Bride of Charlie, where she questions aspects of Erika Kirk’s background and motivations. In the first episode, A Wrinkle in Time, Owens claims Erika misrepresented her upbringing by saying she was raised by a single mother.
Owens argues that Erika’s father, Kent Frantzve, was actively involved in her life and even served as a stay-at-home dad at one point. She also pointed to comments Erika previously made on The Charlie Kirk Show and referenced a 2025 profile by The New York Times to highlight what she describes as inconsistencies.
Owens further made unverified claims about Erika Kirk’s family background, including speculation about her biological mother. Erika Kirk has not publicly responded in detail to the allegations.
The dispute has fueled widespread discussion online as Erika continues leading Turning Point USA following her husband’s death.
