‘The Facts of Life’ Star Mindy Cohn Opens Up About Private Cancer Battle

Actress Mindy Cohn, best known for her role as Natalie Green on The Facts of Life, has shared that she is currently facing a renewed health challenge. The Los Angeles–born performer became widely recognized during the show’s nine-season run from 1979 to 1988, where her character stood out for her humor and emotional depth.
Following her breakout role, Cohn continued working in television and film, including more recent appearances such as in the series Palm Royale. Over the years, she has remained active in the entertainment industry while occasionally opening up about her personal life and health journey.
Cohn was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012. At the time, she kept the diagnosis private, later revealing that she sought medical attention after experiencing unusual fatigue. She underwent surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation, and was declared cancer-free in 2017.
In a recent update shared on social media, Cohn said she is once again undergoing treatment and has been focusing on her health and recovery. She expressed gratitude for her medical team and described her outlook as hopeful, noting her intention to rest and recover before resuming normal activities.
Following her announcement, colleagues and friends including Rosie O’Donnell, Jerry O’Connell, Helen Hunt, and Vicki Lawrence shared messages of support. Her update has also prompted renewed attention to breast cancer awareness and the importance of early detection and treatment.
