Dubai — A major fire broke out Saturday at one of the city’s best-known luxury hotels after debris reportedly fell in the area during heightened regional tensions, according to officials and eyewitness accounts.
Videos shared on social media showed thick smoke rising from Fairmont The Palm, the five-star resort on Palm Jumeirah, shortly after residents reported hearing loud booms across parts of the city. Emergency crews from Dubai Civil Defence responded quickly, and authorities later confirmed the blaze was brought under control.
