‘Living Nostradamus’ Sparks Debate With Stark Reaction to Trump UFO File Release

Newly released unidentified aerial phenomenon (UAP) files by the Trump administration have reignited public fascination with extraterrestrial theories—and drawn sharp skepticism from some analysts.
The documents, made public following an announcement from the White House, include previously classified videos, photographs, and government records related to unexplained aerial sightings. Officials described the release as an effort toward greater transparency, stating that the materials were now accessible without security clearance. The move followed comments by President Donald Trump suggesting the public had a right to review information long held within government archives.
In a recent development, a Chinese academic often referred to in media as the “Living Nostradamus,” Professor Xueqin Jiang, has responded critically to the renewed UFO discussion. Speaking in an interview with YouTuber Nico Ken De Balinthazy, known as “Sneako,” Jiang dismissed the idea of extraterrestrial life and alien technology as unfounded, arguing that such narratives can distract the public during periods of political and social uncertainty.
He suggested that belief in extraterrestrial explanations reflects broader patterns of fear and fragmentation in society, where competing theories—ranging from artificial intelligence risks to supernatural claims—can contribute to public confusion and polarization.
The remarks have added a new layer to an already divided conversation surrounding the U.S. government’s handling of UAP-related material, with supporters of disclosure calling for full transparency, while skeptics question the interpretation and significance of the released files.
As debate continues online, the UFO discussion shows no signs of fading, fueled by both official disclosures and growing global speculation about what, if anything, remains undisclosed.
