Beloved TV Mom from ALF, Anne Schedeen, Dies at 77

Anne Schedeen, the actress best known for portraying Kate Tanner, the loving mother on the hit 1980s sitcom ALF, has died at the age of 77. Her family confirmed that she passed away peacefully, though a cause of death has not been publicly disclosed.

While millions of viewers remember Schedeen as the calm and caring heart of the Tanner family, those closest to her say her life extended far beyond the television screen.
