Forty years after being abandoned as a newborn in a car park toilet, Jon Scarlett-Phillips has met his biological family in an emotional reunion on Long Lost Family: Born Without a Trace. Found in 1984 by three teenage girls who saved his life, Jon was adopted into a loving home but always wondered why his mother left him. The show revealed she was 20, struggling, and mentally unwell at the time, and while she isn’t ready to meet him yet, his two half-sisters were. Meeting them brought Jon a sense of closure, saying it “filled the emptiness” he’d carried all his life.
