Governor Of Oregon After Washington Refineries Begin…

Oregon’s fuel supply is at risk after Phillips 66 announced plans to divest up to $3 billion in refinery assets, including the Ferndale refinery in Washington, a key source of gasoline and diesel for Portland and much of the state. The move follows the company’s December 2024 shutdown of its Los Angeles refinery, which removed a major part of West Coast refining capacity. With limited local storage and no in-state refineries, analysts and communities warn the state could face serious fuel shortages.
