Arizona authorities have identified a primary suspect in the abduction of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, mother of Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie. The case, which began as a missing person investigation, escalated into a federal kidnapping inquiry, making this the most significant development since the FBI joined local efforts.
Naming a suspect gives the investigation direction after weeks of uncertainty for the Guthrie family and the public. While the individualโs motives remain undisclosed to protect the case, the focus has now shifted from locating a missing senior to pursuing a specific perpetrator.
