New Bodycam Footage Gives Look Inside Controversial Fraternity Hazing Case

A shocking video from the University of Iowa is circulating online, showing police discovering a disturbing scene inside a fraternity house. Captured on a police bodycam, the footage has drawn millions of views on YouTube and social media.
The incident took place at the Alpha Delta Phi fraternity in November 2004. Responding to a fire alarm, officers and firefighters entered the basement to find 56 shirtless, blindfolded men covered in food and other substances, raising serious concerns about safety and hazing practices.
University officials were quick to reaffirm that hazing is strictly prohibited both on campus and under Iowa law, yet the footage reveals a blatant disregard for rules and personal safety.
The video captures the officers’ disbelief. One can be heard saying:
“Does anyone want to be forthcoming about what’s going on? Anyone? Because you gotta see it from my perspective, what the f**k did I just walk into?”
The officer then addresses the group, highlighting the gravity of the situation and the concern for the students’ welfare.
