John Wayne Gacy, one of America’s most notorious serial killers, murdered 33 young men between 1972 and 1978 while living a double life as “Pogo the Clown.” He lured victims with promises of work, many of whom he buried under his Chicago home. Arrested after the disappearance of teenager Robert Piest, Gacy confessed to dozens of murders and was sentenced to death in 1980. After 14 years on death row, he was executed by lethal injection in 1994. His chilling final words: “Kiss my a–.” Gacy’s story remains the subject of countless documentaries and series.
